The 6.7L Cummins makes strong power from the factory, and with the right parts it makes a lot more without giving up the reliability you bought it for. Because every 6.7 carries a particulate filter and EGR, and 2013 and newer trucks add DEF, the right parts are the ones that keep that equipment working. This guide lays out Stage 1 and Stage 2 for each year range, each with a towing build and a max power build.
Pick your truck below to see only the parts that fit it. Every card shows the fitment as it appears on the product page, and parts listed with a CARB Executive Order carry a green badge with the EO number.
Start with a healthy truck. Look for exhaust manifold leaks, a sticky turbo actuator, a clogged particulate filter or a stuck EGR valve, and fix them first. Added power only makes those problems worse. Make sure the truck completes its regenerations and that the DEF system has no faults.
On 2019-2020 trucks, check that the CP4 fuel pump recall (21V-880) has been done before adding any power. The recall installs a revised pump and updates the engine computer; ask our sales team whether the CP3 conversion still applies to your truck.
Tuning and some performance parts can affect your factory powertrain warranty. Check before you install.

Every number below is a factory rating at the crank or a typical figure at the wheels, as noted. "Reliable towing target" is where we suggest a truck that tows stops, so the engine, transmission and cooling system all live a long time.
| Years | Stock rating | Transmissions | Reliable towing target | First limit you hit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2007.5-2009 | 350 hp, 650 lb-ft (68RFE); 610 lb-ft with the G56 manual | 68RFE automatic, G56 6-speed manual | Factory power plus about 60-100 hp with the parts in this guide | The 68RFE, and heat in the particulate filter |
| 2010-2012 | 350 hp; 650 lb-ft (2010 to early 2011 68RFE), 800 lb-ft (February 2011-2012 68RFE), 610 lb-ft (G56) | 68RFE automatic, G56 6-speed manual | Factory power plus about 60-100 hp with the parts in this guide | The 68RFE, and heat in the particulate filter |
| 2013-2018 | 370 hp, 800 lb-ft (68RFE); up to 385 hp, 930 lb-ft (Aisin, 3500 High Output); 350 hp, 660 lb-ft (G56) | 68RFE, Aisin AS69RC (3500 High Output), G56 manual | Factory power plus about 60-100 hp with the parts in this guide | The 68RFE; the Aisin has much more margin |
| 2019-2024 | 370 hp, 800-850 lb-ft (68RFE); 400-420 hp, 1,000-1,075 lb-ft (Aisin, 3500 High Output) | 68RFE, Aisin AS69RC (3500 High Output) | Factory power plus about 60-100 hp on 2019-2020; factory power on 2021-2024 until a legal tuner exists | The 68RFE, and the CP4 pump on 2019-2020 |
| 2025-2026 | 430 hp, 1,075 lb-ft | 8-speed automatic | Stock power for now | No tuning covered by a CARB EO yet |
Stage 1 is the bolt-on step: tuning (where a legal option exists), better airflow and the gauges to watch what the engine is doing. The towing build is what we recommend for most trucks. The max power build adds the parts that let the same truck make more power without giving up reliability.
The Edge Evolution CTS3 is covered by CARB EO D-802-13 for 2007-2012 6.7L trucks. It tunes the engine with Edge's preloaded levels and doubles as a monitor for exhaust temperature, particulate filter status and transmission temperature. Pair it with an intake listed with an EO.

Added power means added heat. These are the numbers to watch on your gauges while towing. They are sustained readings, not short spikes on a hill.
| Reading | Normal while towing | When to act |
|---|---|---|
| EGT (probe before the turbo) | Under about 1,200°F sustained | Back off or downshift if it stays above 1,250°F. On trucks with a particulate filter, sustained heat above that risks the filter. |
| EGT (probe after the turbo) | Reads about 200-300°F lower than a pre-turbo probe | Know which probe your gauge uses before you set an alarm. |
| Transmission fluid | 170-200°F | Act at 210-225°F sustained: slow down, downshift, add cooling. |
| Coolant | 195-220°F | Act if it stays over 225°F. |
| Engine oil | 210-240°F | Act at 250°F or more, sustained. |
Every part in this guide keeps your truck's factory emissions equipment in place and working. Where a part is listed with a California Air Resources Board Executive Order (CARB EO), the card says so. That EO exempts the part from California's tampering law (Vehicle Code 27156) for the vehicles it lists. An EO covers only the exact part numbers, years and engines it lists, and an EO for a tuner covers only the maker's preloaded tunes: a custom tune is not covered. Each EO covers its part by itself; CARB has not evaluated combinations of tuned parts. Parts marked "No CARB EO" are not legal for sale or use in California on pollution-controlled vehicles. Exhaust that bolts on behind the catalytic converter or particulate filter generally does not need an EO, but local noise rules still apply.
2007.5-2009 trucks have EGR, an oxidation catalyst, a NOx adsorber catalyst and a particulate filter. Keep all of it. The DPF-back exhaust bolts on behind the filter. The Edge CTS3 is covered by CARB EO D-802-13 only with its preloaded tunes.

Call 208-719-7400Send us a messageOn 2007.5-2012 trucks, the Edge Evolution CTS3: it is covered by CARB EO D-802-13 and includes a monitor. With the parts in this guide, plan on factory power plus about 60-100 hp, with the transmission ready for it. The 3500 High Output trucks with the Aisin have the most transmission margin.
For towing at Stage 1 power, a torque converter and valve body are worth it. At Stage 2 or for steady heavy towing, plan on a built transmission.
Not that we carry yet. When a tuner for those years is covered by a CARB EO, we will add it to this guide.
A DPF-back exhaust bolts on behind the particulate filter and does not change any emissions equipment, so it generally does not need a CARB EO. Local noise rules still apply.
They are recommended once a 6.7 is tuned and towing, because the long stroke raises cylinder pressure. They are part of our Stage 2 max power builds.
