Power Upgrades for the 6.7L Cummins

Unlock more horsepower and torque from your 2025-2026 Ram 2500/3500 6.7L Cummins with proven performance upgrades. Ram redesigned this engine from the block up with a bolt-on aluminum intake manifold, larger valves, higher rail pressure, and a faster-spooling turbo, which makes airflow the most direct path to more power on this platform. Improving intake flow and freeing up the exhaust allows your truck to breathe easier under load, run cooler exhaust gas temperatures, and deliver sharper throttle response without sacrificing drivability or reliability. Whether you tow heavy, drive daily, or just want your Cummins to sound and pull the way it should, the right combination of intake and exhaust upgrades helps your truck perform at its best.

Suspension & Steering Upgrades for the Ram HD Trucks

Improve ride height, clearance, and overall control on your 2025-2026 Ram 2500/3500 6.7L Cummins with suspension upgrades built for real-world use. The 2500's coil-sprung rear makes it one of the best riding heavy duties on the market and one of the easiest to lift, and leveling kits and lift kits help dial in stance and tire clearance while properly matched shocks improve stability, handling, and ride quality on and off the road. Fitment is tighter on these trucks than the previous generation, and every diesel now ships with a single 3.42 axle ratio, so matching your lift height to your tire size matters more than it used to. Choosing the right combination ensures confident performance whether you drive daily, tow, or venture off pavement.

Ram didn't just bolt a new transmission behind the 6.7L Cummins for 2025. They redesigned the engine from the block up, with a bolt-on aluminum intake manifold, larger valves, 32,000 psi of rail pressure, a quicker-spooling turbo, and glow plugs in place of the old grid heater. Paired with the TorqueFlite HD 8-speed, it puts down 430 horsepower, 1,075 lb-ft of torque, and up to 36,610 pounds of towing capacity. It's the strongest Cummins Ram has ever put in a pickup, and Alligator Performance has the parts to push it further. Our Ram 6.7L Cummins engine upgrades add power, airflow, and long-haul durability to an already stout platform. On the suspension side, the 2500's coil-sprung rear makes it one of the best-riding heavy duties on the market and one of the easiest to lift, and our Ram 2500/3500 leveling kits and lift kits give you the stance and clearance to run a serious set of wheels and tires. With a single 3.42 axle ratio from the factory and tight fender clearance, sizing your lift and tires correctly matters more than it used to, so let our team help you spec a combination that works. Our 2500/3500 exterior upgrades cover fender flares, mud flaps, and roof racks to sharpen the look and add real utility, while a set of aftermarket Cummins bumpers protects the front end on the job site or the trail, with many models offering integrated winch mounting. Whether you're pulling a gooseneck across three states or building a rig that earns its keep off-pavement, we've got the Ram Cummins mods to get you there. 2025-2026 Ram 6.7L Cummins Suspension & Steering Upgrades

The 2025-2026 Ram 2500 is the easiest heavy duty on the market to lift, thanks to a five-link coil-sprung rear suspension that most of its competitors gave up years ago. Our selection of 2025-2026 Ram 6.7L Cummins suspension upgrades covers everything from mild leveling kits that clear the factory rake and make room for 35s, to full coilover systems from Carli, FOX, and KING that transform how these trucks ride loaded and unloaded. Steering is where the new Ram HD gets overlooked. Reviewers have consistently called the factory setup imprecise, and the problem compounds the moment you add tire size and weight up front. Upgraded track bars, drag links, tie rods, ball joints, and steering stabilizers are not optional accessories on a lifted 2500 or 3500, they are what keeps the truck tracking straight at highway speed with a gooseneck behind it. Build the suspension and the steering together and your Ram will drive better than it did stock.

2025-2026 Ram 6.7L Cummins Intake & Exhaust Upgrades

Ram redesigned the 6.7L Cummins from the block up for 2025 with a bolt-on aluminum intake manifold, larger valves, and a faster-spooling turbo, which makes airflow upgrades the most direct path to more power on this platform. Our 2025-2026 Ram 6.7L Cummins intake and exhaust upgrades include cold air intakes from S&B, aFe, and Banks that feed the new manifold more air with less restriction, plus DPF-back and turbo-back exhaust systems that free up flow, drop exhaust gas temperatures, and give your Cummins the tone it deserves. Because the 2025 and newer trucks run an encrypted ECM that aftermarket tuning has not caught up to yet, intake and exhaust work is where owners are seeing the best return right now. Most systems we carry are 50-state emissions compliant and install with basic hand tools, so you can add airflow, sound, and efficiency to your Ram 2500 or 3500 in an afternoon without touching your factory powertrain warranty.

2025-2026 Ram 6.7L Cummins Bumpers, Winches & Exterior

A set of aftermarket bumpers is the single best way to protect a $70,000 truck and give it a look that matches what it can do. Our 2025-2026 Ram 6.7L Cummins bumpers and exterior upgrades include heavy-duty steel front and rear bumpers, many with integrated winch mounting plates and provisions for LED light bars and pods. Pair one with a Warn or Smittybilt winch and your Ram 2500 or 3500 becomes genuinely self-recovering, which matters whether you are working a job site, breaking trail, or pulling someone else out. We also carry fender flares, mud flaps, rock sliders, running boards, bed racks, and LED lighting from Baja Designs, Rigid, and Diode Dynamics. If you optioned the Power Wagon Package on a Tradesman and want to spend the savings where it counts, this is where to start. Armor first, lighting second, and your truck is ready for anything.

2025-2026 Ram 6.7L Cummins Wheels & Tires

Nothing changes the look of a Ram 2500 or 3500 faster than a set of aftermarket wheels and tires. Our 2025-2026 Ram 6.7L Cummins wheels and tires selection covers a wide range of sizes, offsets, backspacings, and finishes from Fuel, Method, KMC, and more, so you can dial in exactly the stance you want. On the tire side we stock everything from 35 inch all-terrains for daily driven and towing builds to 37 inch mud-terrains for trucks that spend real time off pavement. Fitment matters more on the 2025 and newer trucks than it did on the previous generation. Ram tightened up fender clearance and now ships every diesel with a single 3.42 axle ratio, so going too big without the right leveling or lift kit leads to rubbing and a drivability hit. Tell us your truck, your lift, and how you use it, and we will spec a wheel and tire combination that fits and performs.

FAQs about the 2025-2026 RAM 2500HD/3500HD trucks and the 6.7L Cummins

What's different about the 2025+ 6.7L Cummins compared to the previous Gen?

It's a block-up redesign, not a carryover. Ram and Cummins added a bolt-on aluminum intake manifold with longer runners, intake and exhaust valves 2mm larger, rail pressure raised 3,000 psi to 32,000 psi total, a new turbo with a smaller faster-spooling turbine wheel, helical cam and fuel pump drive gears for quieter operation, and a quicker-lighting catalyst. Output is 430 horsepower and 1,075 lb-ft, up 60 hp and 225 lb-ft over the previous standard-output engine. Oil and fuel filters moved to the top of the engine for easier service.

Did Ram fix the intake grid heater problem?

Yes, by removing it. The 2025 and newer trucks use glow plugs instead of an intake grid heater, so the failure mode where the grid heater bolt backs out and gets ingested by a cylinder no longer exists on this engine. Cold starts are also quicker as a result. If you're shopping a used 2019-2024 truck, that failure mode still applies and you should run the VIN for the service campaign.

Is there still a standard-output and high-output Cummins?

Not in the pickups. Every 2500 and 3500 pickup now gets the high-output engine at 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft. The standard-output version, rated 360 hp and 800 lb-ft, is only found in chassis cab models. The old decision where choosing HO was really a way to get the better transmission no longer exists.

What transmission is behind the 2025+ Cummins?

The TorqueFlite HD 8-speed automatic. It replaced both the 68RFE and the Aisin AS69RC in the pickups, and the gas 6.4L Hemi uses it too. It has a low first gear for pulling and starts in second when unloaded for smoother launches. Every HD now uses a column-mounted electronic shifter rather than the old rotary dial.

How much can a 2025+ Ram HD tow and haul?

A properly equipped 3500 with the Cummins tows up to 36,610 pounds. A 2500 with the Cummins tops out at 20,000 pounds. Maximum payload actually requires the gas engine, not the diesel: 7,590 pounds on a 3500 and 4,420 pounds on a 2500. The Cummins weighs enough to cost you several hundred pounds of payload capacity, which matters if you're planning a heavy build or a slide-in camper.

What axle ratio do these trucks come with?

All diesels come with 3.42 gears and there are no optional ratios. Ram dropped the gear options because the 8-speed's ratio spread covers what the axle choices used to. The exception is the Power Wagon Package, which uses 4.10. This matters when you're sizing tires, because you can't order taller gearing to compensate the way you could on the previous generation.

What kind of real world fuel economy do these get?

HD trucks aren't EPA rated because their GVWR exceeds 8,500 pounds, but tested results on a 2500 show 22 mpg at 75 mph highway with the Cummins versus 14 mpg with the 6.4L gas V8. Observed overall figures were 15 and 10 respectively. That works out to roughly 700 miles of highway range on the diesel versus 430 on the gas.

Is the Cummins worth the option price?

The diesel is a $12,595 option. At roughly 57 percent better highway economy, the fuel savings alone take somewhere near 100,000 miles to pay it back, and longer once you account for diesel's higher per gallon cost and DEF. It's the right call if you tow heavy regularly or put on serious highway miles. If you're mostly driving around town and towing occasionally, the gas V8 is quicker off the line, carries more payload, and leaves $12,595 for suspension, tires, and armor.

Will 35s or 37s fit on a 2025+ Ram HD?

Not on the Rebel or Power Wagon without modification. Ram has stated that neither 35 nor 37 inch tires will clear those fenders without rubbing, which is a change worth knowing since the Ford Tremor and Chevy ZR2 both ship on 35s. Stock sizes are LT285/60R20 on most trims and LT285/70R17 with the Power Wagon Package. Getting to 35s or larger means a proper leveling or lift kit, and correct backspacing matters more on this platform than the last one.

Can you tune a 2025+ Ram Cummins?

Not currently, in any meaningful aftermarket sense. Ram has used an encrypted ECM since 2019, which already made traditional handheld flash tuning unworkable, and the 2025 redesign added an entirely new engine and transmission calibration on top of that. Ram's ECM also keeps a flash counter that dealers can read, so flashing back to stock before a warranty visit doesn't hide anything. For now, power gains on this platform come from airflow rather than software, which is why intake and exhaust are where owners are spending.
