Features:
If your Super Duty's steering has started to feel loose after bigger tires or years of towing, the tie rod is a good place to look. The Synergy 8602-11 is a complete redesign for the 2005 and newer F-250 and F-350, built to outperform and outlast the stock setup. Synergy makes it in the USA from seamless, heat treated 4130 chromoly tubing, and it says the finished part is over 40 percent stronger than the OEM tie rod. The tube is formed after heat treating, which Synergy says gives it superior strength. Metal on metal tie rod ends replace the nylon lined ends that wear out on weaker parts, and they are fully greaseable for the long haul. A single plane end at each side eliminates unwanted movement and the dead spot you feel when you change direction. You can adjust the length while the tie rod stays on the truck, and Synergy says there are no wheel size restrictions with proper adjustment. For an owner who runs factory wheels today but wants room to grow, this tie rod is built to handle both.
The Synergy 8602-11 is a heavy duty tie rod for 2005 and newer Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks, made for the under knuckle configuration. It is precision bent from USA made 1.75 inch by 0.188 wall tubing, and Synergy describes the material as heat treated 4130 chromoly. The bends clear the sway bar mounts, the differential cover, and the pitman arm. Synergy says that shape also clears most aftermarket differential covers, though it lists known compatibility only with the Mag-Hytec cover. The tie rod ends have a 4140 steel shank and a 1018 steel bearing housing, with a heavy duty nitrile butadiene rubber boot and a retaining spring. A double adjuster sleeve with a pinch bolt assembly sets the length from 59.75 to 62.5 inches, measured center to center of the tie rod ends. That design removes the need for jam nuts, so the setting does not creep. A two stage abrasion resistant powder coat protects the finish, and the tie rod keeps the factory mounting locations and hardware. The kit includes the tie rod and a Grade 8 pinch bolt hardware kit, and it installs with basic hand tools.
