The Rough Country 5040 Steering Box Mount Point Frame Support Kit is a critical upgrade for GM truck owners experiencing or trying to prevent frame fatigue around the steering box. Common on older 1973–1991 GM models, this area can flex or crack under stress—especially in lifted trucks or off-road conditions. This support bracket reinforces the weak point, restoring rigidity and maintaining precise steering feel. Constructed from durable steel and finished with a corrosion-resistant coating, it’s a smart investment in your steering system’s longevity and safety.

Fitment: 1973–1991 GM C/K Series Pickup, Suburban, and Blazer models
Warranty: Limited lifetime replacement warranty from Rough Country
Fitment Notes: Designed for vehicles with factory-style steering boxes. May require trimming or adjustment on modified frames.
