Strength And Precision Come Together In Every Component

The Stage 2 68RFE is assembled with carefully selected upgrades that improve hydraulic control, clutch holding capacity, and long term reliability under increased power. At its core is the BabyMaker 2000 billet channel plate valve body, which is built and tested in house and paired with billet accumulators, TransGo SSV valves, and an OEM Mopar solenoid block for consistent shift performance. A billet input shaft, Sonnax input drum with a custom overdrive stack, and billet triple disc torque converter strengthen the drivetrain while improving torque handling during demanding use. Furthermore, the upgraded 2C power pack with a billet piston, reinforced 4C clutch pack, billet snap ring retainer, and fourteen low and reverse clutches help the transmission manage heavy loads with confidence. Vacuum tested pumps, bonded pistons, a heavy duty low and reverse sprag, and a TIG welded planetary assembly reinforce critical internal areas that experience the greatest stress. A billet steel spin on filter adapter, new Mopar filters, and a heavy duty injection moulded aluminum deep pan improve filtration, increase fluid capacity, enhance cooling, and add case rigidity. To achieve optimal operation, Randy's also provides recommended tuning specifications, including line pressure settings, converter lockup strategy, low and reverse sprag holdout, and disabling the underdrive pulse test for 2019 and newer applications.
