The Stage 1 68RFE is assembled using carefully selected components that improve durability while maintaining precise transmission operation. At the heart of the build is the BabyMaker 2000 billet channel plate valve body, which is built and tested in house to provide dependable hydraulic control under increased power levels. A 4C power pack with GPZ or equivalent clutches, a 2C billet piston power pack, and Randy's heavy duty input drum work together to improve clutch holding strength and long term reliability. Furthermore, the billet twin disc torque converter is engineered to transfer torque efficiently while supporting demanding towing and performance applications. New OEM Mopar pressure and speed sensors help maintain accurate transmission operation, while the billet steel spin on filter adapter and new Mopar filters promote clean fluid circulation. Randy's heavy duty injection moulded aluminum deep pan increases fluid capacity, improves cooling efficiency, and adds case rigidity for demanding workloads. To achieve the intended performance, the manufacturer also provides recommended tuning specifications, including line pressure settings, converter lockup strategy, low and reverse sprag holdout, and disabling the underdrive pulse test on 2019 and newer applications.
