Each bag includes a flexible polyurethane jounce bumper, also called a bump stop, mounted inside the air spring to prevent bottoming out that could damage the bag itself. Because of that internal bumper, the bags can be run at 0 psi when the truck is unloaded, which preserves factory ride comfort without needing to keep the system inflated. The kit is rated for 7,500 pounds of load leveling capacity, and Pacbrake is clear that owners should never exceed the manufacturer's recommended Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. This version is designed for owners who want the added protection of an internal bumper, while those who need maximum bag travel for off road use, launching boats, or lowering the rear to pick up trailers are pointed to the HP10206-X Alpha XD air bag. The kit fits trucks equipped with the factory 5th wheel prep package, but it will not fit vehicles with the factory optional air suspension or models equipped with MagneRide. Pacbrake also notes it may not fit some later model Power Wagon applications, and that the Alpha XD kits in the X and X-J series are not compatible with its 2, 4, or 6 inch air spring spacers.
