Features:
A heavy duty truck should still feel controlled and comfortable when the pavement gets rough or the workday takes you onto dirt. The ICON K77102 Stage 3 Lift Kit gives your 2001-2010 Silverado or Sierra 2500HD or 3500HD suspension the damping it needs to better manage the stiff factory torsion bar setup. Vehicle specific tuned 2.5 inch piggyback shocks at all four corners help settle suspension movement, giving the truck a more composed feel on broken pavement, construction sites, gravel roads, and uneven trails. ICON also includes tubular steel upper control arms with Delta Joints, providing additional droop and articulation while adding strength where a hardworking truck can put it to good use. You still retain the towing capacity that makes these trucks so useful, so improved ride quality does not have to come at the expense of everyday capability. Recommended 33 by 11.50 inch tires can add a tougher stance and useful clearance while keeping the build practical for regular driving. The result is a suspension package that makes your HD truck more enjoyable between jobs while giving you better control when the terrain starts asking more from the chassis.
The K77102 Stage 3 system is engineered around the high spring rates of the factory torsion bars found under 2001-2010 GM 2500HD and 3500HD trucks. ICON uses 2.5 inch Aluminum Series piggyback shocks with vehicle specific valving at the front and rear to provide the damping control required by these heavier platforms. Their one piece impact extruded aluminum cylinders provide corrosion resistance while helping deliver a consistent finish, and the shocks are fully serviceable for long term use. Up front, tubular steel upper control arms replace the factory components and use ICON Delta Joints to provide increased suspension droop with greater angularity than a conventional ball joint. Each Delta Joint combines metal on metal construction with a zinc plated housing, greaseable design, and protective seal to help keep contaminants away from the internal surfaces. The front shocks accommodate up to 2.5 inches of lift while the included rear shocks are designed for up to one inch of rear lift, making proper vehicle setup important when planning your suspension height. Additionally, the system uses a bolt on design that brings together stronger control arms and matched shock damping without requiring a complete redesign of the truck's proven heavy duty suspension.
