Features:
A heavy duty truck can soak up plenty of abuse, but the right shocks can make all those rough miles feel a lot more controlled. The ICON 77725P V.S. 2.5 Piggyback Front Shocks are built for 2001-2010 GM Silverado and Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks with 0 to 2.5 inches of lift, giving Duramax owners a serious suspension upgrade without sacrificing street manners. Each shock is tuned specifically for the application, so you get damping designed around your GM HD instead of a generic setup expected to work across several different platforms. On washboard roads, rutted trails, and other demanding surfaces, the piggyback reservoirs help manage heat so damping remains more consistent as the shocks continue cycling. ICON also incorporates its internal Bump Zone, which adds 20 percent more damping force as the shock approaches full compression to help soften harsh bottom outs and maintain control during fast suspension movement. What's more, the 2.5 Series construction brings durable materials and serviceable components to a truck that may see everything from weekday commuting to weekends exploring beyond the pavement. These shocks are sold as a pair, giving you a matched front setup ready to bring better control and a smoother ride to your Duramax.
The ICON 77725P uses a nitrogen charged monotube design with piggyback reservoirs to combine precise damping with improved thermal management under sustained use. At the heart of each shock is a one piece digressive piston with vehicle specific valving, allowing the suspension to respond predictably while balancing on road comfort with off road control. Premium 5WT shock oil supports consistent damping across a wide range of temperatures, while the reservoir design improves heat dissipation to help reduce performance fade during prolonged suspension cycling. As compression approaches its limit, ICON's internal Bump Zone increases damping force by 20 percent, providing additional resistance when the suspension is moving quickly toward a potential bottom out. A 7/8 inch induction hardened chrome plated shaft handles demanding suspension loads, while the precision machined 1026 DOM steel shock body adds strength and corrosion resistance. Additionally, CNC machined 6061 aircraft grade aluminum components and PTFE lined spherical bearings provide durable support at critical points throughout the assembly. Both shocks are fully rebuildable and revalveable, allowing future servicing or damping changes instead of limiting the setup to its original configuration.
