The 36510R combines a nitrogen charged monotube layout with a remote reservoir to provide consistent damping for heavily lifted Ford Super Duty applications. Its one piece linear digressive piston uses vehicle specific valving to balance ride quality and suspension control across changing road and trail conditions. A 5/8 inch chrome plated hardened steel shaft provides the strength required for suspension duty while helping resist corrosion and surface pitting over time. ICON constructs the shock body and reservoir tubing from anodized 6063 aluminum, which provides effective heat dissipation while adding another layer of corrosion resistance. Additionally, 6061 aluminum is used for the rod end, top cap, and internal components to provide strength without unnecessary weight. Polyurethane bushings, zinc plated sleeves, and forged steel mounting stems support a factory style fitment, while a nitrile rubber top out bumper helps keep operation quiet at full extension. Since the shock can be completely rebuilt and revalved, owners can service worn components or alter the damping characteristics as their truck and suspension setup evolve.
