Purpose Built Components Keep Damping Consistent

The ICON 36510 combines a nitrogen charged monotube layout with a one piece linear and digressive piston to provide controlled damping throughout suspension movement. Its internal reservoir design works with premium 5WT shock oil, which is selected to maintain consistent damping across a broad range of operating temperatures. Application specific valving further tailors shock behavior to the Ford Super Duty platform, helping balance ride quality and suspension control on pavement and uneven surfaces. The 6063 anodized aluminum shock body provides excellent heat dissipation while offering corrosion resistance, and the 6061 aluminum rod end, top cap, and internal components add strength throughout the assembly. A 5/8 inch chrome plated hardened steel shaft resists corrosion and pitting, helping protect a critical moving component during regular use. Polyurethane bushings, zinc plated sleeves, and forged steel mounting stems provide durable attachment points while supporting an OE style fitment. What's more, a nitrile rubber top out bumper helps reduce noise as the suspension reaches full extension, while the rebuildable and revalveable construction provides options for future service or tuning. The 36510 is sold as a single front shock, so a quantity of two is required to equip the front axle.
