Every component of the FOX 980-24-656 is engineered with long term durability and dependable performance in mind. Its 2.0 inch impact extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body is clear anodized to resist corrosion while providing excellent heat dissipation under demanding conditions. Inside the shock, an Internal Floating Piston separates the shock oil from the high pressure nitrogen charge, reducing aeration and maintaining consistent damping performance. Furthermore, the race developed high flow piston works with application specific valving to deliver balanced control across a wide range of driving conditions. A 5/8 inch hard chrome plated heat treated alloy steel shaft provides excellent strength, while the redundant sealing system helps keep dirt and moisture away from critical internal components. Eyelet mounts at both ends allow for a direct bolt on installation on compatible vehicles, making this an excellent upgrade for lifted Super Duty owners looking for proven FOX performance.
