Premium Fuel Filter Upgrade for GM 6.6L Duramax

If you've been frustrated with the stock fuel filter setup on your L5P Duramax, you're definitely not alone. The cartridge-style filter used on 2020–2024 Silverado and Sierra HD trucks isn’t exactly known for convenience or long service life. That’s why Fleece came up with a smarter solution. The Fleece Fuel Filter Upgrade Kit gives you a clean, durable, and much more serviceable setup by converting your factory system to use a spin-on canister-style fuel filter. It’s a simple change with big benefits, especially when it comes to filtration performance and ease of maintenance. At the heart of the kit is Fleece’s anodized billet aluminum filter base, which replaces the factory unit without changing the filter’s location. It’s designed to match factory fuel flow and retains full function of the PTC fuel heater, which is a big deal if you live in a cold climate. This isn’t just a cosmetic or convenience mod, it’s engineered to work just like the OEM setup, only better.

Highly-Efficient Filtration with Simple Install

Instead of the stock cartridge, the kit includes a Donaldson 4-micron spin-on fuel filter and water separator. Donaldson is well-known for their durability and filtering efficiency, and this one gives you more capacity and longer service intervals right out of the gate. Plus, the spin-on design means you’re not stuck fiddling with plastic caps or specialty tools during filter changes. It’s quicker, cleaner, and just makes more sense for real-world truck use. The install process itself is straightforward, thanks to the included quick disconnect fittings and direct-fit design. Fleece also added a built-in 1/8-inch NPT port, so you can easily add a fuel pressure sensor without hacking into the system later.
