If you tow with an L5P, you already know the 10 speed can spend a lot of time hunting for the right gear when the trailer gets heavy. The Edge Evolution CTS4 goes after that problem by tuning the transmission along with the engine, so the shifts match the power instead of fighting it. Edge says its shift strategies improve shift timing, shift feel, and towing performance. You choose from four performance levels, Economy, Towing, Performance, and Extreme, and the top level is rated at up to 125 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque at the tires. Edge's own testing showed quarter mile gains of up to 1.3 seconds and 8 MPH, though results vary by truck. Adjustable throttle boost lets you sharpen the pedal, and the included Locksmith tool unlocks the ECM and TCM right in the truck, so nothing has to come out. The CTS4 then keeps an eye on your DPF soot level, EGT, boost, and fluid temperatures, so you always know what the truck is doing. For a 2020 to 2023 Silverado or Sierra HD that tows and works, it is a complete tuning and monitoring upgrade.

The Edge 85500-261 is the Evolution CTS4 tuner and monitor for 2020-2023 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks with the 6.6L Duramax L5P. The included Edge Locksmith tool performs an in vehicle ECM and TCM unlock, which gives access to pre loaded calibrations without removing either module from the truck. Edge lists four levels, Economy at 50 horsepower and 100 lb-ft, Towing at 75 and 160, Performance at 90 and 180, and Extreme at 125 and 275, along with 10 speed transmission calibrations. Extra functions include tire size calibration from 26 to 38 inches, speed and rev limiter adjustments, idle up from 600 to 1,800 RPM, manual DPF regeneration, Allison transmission relearn, and recall of drive mode, exhaust brake, tow/haul, and grade braking settings. The CTS4 provides supported monitoring through customizable digital gauges, alerts and warnings, data logging with 5 volt inputs, a speedometer, video capability, and the ability to read and clear trouble codes, and it works with compatible EAS sensors, EGT probes, and camera options. Edge says the calibrations are DPF friendly and retain the truck's emissions equipment, and that the tool does not support removing or disabling emissions equipment. A PC and Edge's Update Agent software are required to complete the tuning process. Each device can unlock and tune only one vehicle.
