Internally, the transmission features upgraded clutch packs in the overdrive, intermediate, and forward sections, each with additional clutches for improved holding strength. A modified valve body and transmission pump increase line pressure to ensure reliable clutch engagement and smoother shift control. The ATS Commander Lock-Up Controller lets you dial in torque converter lock-up based on speed and gear, giving you better drivability, fuel efficiency, and braking control during deceleration.
