The DuramaxTuner Heavy Tow Tune is a custom ECM calibration developed specifically for 2013-2014 Ford F-250 and F-350 6.7L Powerstroke chassis cab trucks. It maintains all factory emissions equipment while introducing more than 100 targeted calibration changes from stock. Horsepower and torque gains are carefully managed to improve pulling power without increasing EGTs, thanks to built-in air fuel ratio limits and custom SMART EGT control. This tuning strategy helps reduce soot output and supports long engine life under constant load. The tune is designed around towing applications near and above 8,000 pounds GVW, where consistent power delivery and thermal control matter most. RTD hardware from HP Tuners is required to flash the calibration and provides Bluetooth connectivity along with full access to VCM Scanner diagnostics. For best results, transmission tuning is strongly recommended to match shift strategy and torque converter lockup to the new power curve, especially on trucks with heavy service beds.
