It features over 100 calibration changes from stock to improve towing performance without compromising emissions compliance. With built-in air-to-fuel ratio limits and SMART EGT control, the tune actively manages exhaust gas temperatures and reduces soot production under load. It’s engineered to support trailers up to 8,000 lbs GVW while maintaining factory turbo brake functionality and drivability. The tune also improves pedal response, making acceleration more predictable even when towing at low speeds or navigating tight spots. When paired with 68RFE transmission tuning, it enhances shift timing, line pressure, and torque converter lockup strategy to better handle the added strain of heavy-duty towing. While Aisin and manual transmissions are supported with engine tuning, transmission tuning is currently only available for 68RFE-equipped trucks.
