When a 6.7L Powerstroke needs a replacement engine, most long blocks hand you back the same style of piston that was in the original. CNC Machined Piston Dimples Backed By A Rottler Built Long Block

The DFC Diesel KORE671116SOALB is a remanufactured long block built for 2011-2016 Ford F250 and F350 Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Powerstroke. It uses Speed of Air Hyperformance pistons, which have patented turbulator indentations CNC machined into the piston top to exacting tolerances under ISO 9001 quality standards. Speed of Air says these indentations create a thinner, well attached boundary layer between the air fuel mixture, its flame front, and the combustion chamber walls. That lets the flame burn closer to the cool metal walls, which raises combustion efficiency and supports lower fuel consumption, more torque and horsepower, and better pulling power. The pistons are also coated, with a thermal barrier on the crowns and an anti friction coating on the skirts. The rest of the engine follows DFC's KORE Series process, machined on Rottler equipment to tolerances better than OEM, with all new rings, bearings, gaskets, seals, valves, springs, hardened seats, stem seals, and cast guides. It includes Total Seal gapless piston rings and improved gasket sealing in common leak areas. The engine ships as a complete short block assembly with the cylinder heads installed.
