Features:
Nothing ruins confidence behind the wheel faster than sloppy steering feedback and constant bump steer from rough roads or oversized tires. The Cognito FOX Steering Stabilizer Kit is designed to bring control back to your 2011-2025 Silverado or Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD, giving the truck a more planted and predictable feel both on and off the pavement. Whether you spend your weekends towing a trailer, driving washboard backroads, or simply commuting in a leveled Duramax, this kit helps calm unwanted steering wheel movement that can wear you out during long drives. The included FOX Performance Series 2.0 IFP stabilizer delivers smooth damping performance while helping absorb harsh impacts before they reach your hands. Additionally, the system works seamlessly with the Cognito Pitman and Idler Arm Support Kit, making it an excellent upgrade for truck owners already strengthening their steering system. Installation on 2016 and newer models is fully bolt-on, so you can get the truck back on the road quickly without unnecessary fabrication work. What's more, the kit remains compatible with lift kits that retain the factory center link location, giving lifted truck owners an easy way to improve steering feel without compromising suspension geometry.
GM made major steering improvements to the HD platform beginning in 2011, but the factory pitman and idler arm configuration still leaves room for additional stability and reinforcement under demanding conditions. Cognito developed this FOX Steering Stabilizer Kit to complement the factory steering layout while improving overall steering control and reducing road feedback transferred through the wheel. The included FOX Performance Series 2.0 IFP stabilizer uses a monotube internal floating piston design that delivers consistent damping characteristics while handling repeated impacts and heat buildup more effectively than basic twin-tube designs. This added stability becomes especially valuable on trucks running larger wheel and tire combinations, towing heavy loads, or spending time on uneven terrain where steering oscillation becomes more noticeable. For 2011-2015 trucks equipped with the factory frame clevis tabs, the OEM mounting provision must be removed because it interferes with the Cognito bracket design. Starting in 2016, GM eliminated the factory clevis, allowing this system to install as a true bolt-on upgrade with no cutting, drilling, or welding required. Cognito also engineered the kit around the factory center link position, ensuring proper compatibility with many popular lift kits that maintain OEM steering geometry.
