Internally, it uses high-strength alloy races and a large taper pin to deliver greater pullout strength than typical plastic-lined ball joints. It arrives pre-greased with Lithium Complex Grade 2 grease and features a small internal grease cavity that can be topped off through the included grease fitting. The scraper-style seal design eliminates the need for a traditional rubber boot and offers more dependable protection from moisture and debris. Its zinc-plated housing resists corrosion while remaining press-fit in the control arm, making in-truck rebuilds fast and simple. When maintenance is needed, you can disassemble the joint without removing the control arm from the vehicle, saving time and avoiding hassle.
