Choate has taken the 6.7L Powerstroke to the next level of durability and performance with their 6.7L Workhorse Long Block. This heavy-duty engine is designed for heavy-duty towing and other tough tasks that demand power and reliability. Including several significant improvements over the Choate Daily Driver, including O-Ringed Heads, Billet Flex Plate, Coated, Fly Cut and Delipped Pistons, Stage 2 Cam, Chromoly Pushrods, and Welded Cam Gea. Choate Engineering built their 6.7L Workhorse Long Block to live up to its namesake and be a tough dependable workhorse.
Improved and Enhanced 6.7L
The 6.7L Workhorse Long Block is built to higher quality standards than the OE and solves its biggest issues. One issue tackled is the Main and Rod bearing clearance problems in the OE 6.7L. Choate achieves this through precision machining for correct clearances and using upgraded bearings designed for higher stress levels. Another concern is potential separation of OE 6.7L exhaust valves, which can cause engine failure. To prevent this, Choate installs heavy-duty valves resistant to high temperatures. Additionally, they address cam tunnel misalignment by using proprietary bearings for perfect alignment. For a hassle-free fully running crate engine that surpasses the OE 6.7L, Choate Engineering's 6.7L Workhorse Long Block is the top choice for an engine that tackles the heaviest tasks with ease.

Applications Notes:
2011-2012 6.7 Powerstrokes Come stock from Ford with a 8-bolt flexplate and torque converter that are no longer manufactured.
All 6.7 Powerstroke balanced assemblies from Choate Engineering come with the updated 6-bolt flexplate from 2013+ and require the customer to update the torque converter or purchase one from us directly.
2017+ 6.7 Powerstrokes have a larger Hole Diameter for the motor mounts and bolts.
Optional Parts are not installed.

All Manual will be charged the appropriate charges and will be balanced to a stock flywheel we have in stock or you will need to send in your Aftermarket in first.

Full CNC blue print machining, (bore, deck, hone and line honed) – The Cylinder bores are blue print bored to a true 90 degrees from the crankshaft center line, prior to being diamond honed to within .0002 inch for precise piston to cylinder bore clearances.
We main bore and line hone the crankshaft which is honed to precisely align the crankshaft in the engine block. We bore the block back to the crankshaft center line and hone the block to RA13 finish. The piston diameter measured to the nearest .0001 inch matched to cylinder bores.
The Cylinder block is surfaced to a finish of RA30 or lower, which meets the factory specification in both flatness and smoothness for the block to head sealing surface. This is mandatory for proper sealing of a MLS Gasket.
Connecting Rods, New Damper and Flexplate for Automatic transmission. All Manual will be charged the appropriate charges and will be balanced to a stock flywheel we have in stock or you will need to send in your Aftermarket in first.
Check both wrist pin and crank pin to rod clearances
New upgraded Pistons .10- .30 inch over – New pistons, rings, Pin retainers weight matched prior to crank balancing
Crankshaft – Balanced with the Rotational assembly checked for run-out inspected for fatigue. Crankshaft is Polished and ground to .0005 concentricity or less
