Built To Control Heat Travel And Damping

The engineering behind the Carli SPEC 2.5 inch shocks starts with one piece impact extruded 6061 aluminum bodies that efficiently dissipate heat while eliminating a separate top cap interface as a potential failure point. Each body is anodized to improve corrosion resistance and finish durability, while hardened 100 ksi chrome plated steel shafts measure a substantial 7/8 inch in diameter. Inside, premium 5WT red shock oil is selected to provide a balance of lubrication, consistent damping, and performance across a broad range of temperatures. Remote reservoirs separate the dividing piston and nitrogen charge from the main shock body, leaving more room for piston travel while increasing oil capacity for improved heat management and reduced shock fade. The reservoir circuit also creates a controlled restriction as fluid moves from the shock body, helping smooth suspension response and improve bottom out resistance during compression. Carli pairs this construction with rubber stem top bushings and 6061 billet aluminum rod ends containing 5/8 inch PTFE lined spherical bearings for application specific mounting. This package is engineered specifically for Carli 2.5 inch front springs and factory rear springs on compatible 2019-2026 RAM 2500 4WD diesel trucks, and it is not compatible with factory auto leveling air suspension.
