This Bilstein package combines B8 5160 remote reservoir shocks with a B8 5100 dual steering damper system for 2019-2026 RAM 2500 4WD models, giving you a coordinated upgrade for both suspension and steering performance. The remote reservoirs provide additional cooling capacity for the shocks, helping them stay consistent when rough roads or extended off road driving keep the suspension working hard. Bilstein also tunes the damping for the specific application, so the shocks can respond naturally as the truck moves through changing terrain rather than relying on a generic setup. Up front, two steering dampers work in opposing directions to improve steering isolation and create a stronger on center feel behind the wheel. They also help control small steering movements that can contribute to unwanted steering wheel shake, which adds another layer of confidence when managing a heavy duty truck. Two Damping Systems Work Toward One Goal

The B8 5160 shocks use a monotube construction with remote reservoirs to increase cooling capacity and support additional wheel travel compared with a traditional shock design. Inside each shock, velocity sensitive digressive valving is tuned for the specific application, allowing damping response to change with the speed and intensity of suspension movement. Bilstein equips the reservoir shocks with 360 degree swivel banjo hose fittings, which provide flexibility when routing and positioning the reservoir assemblies during installation. Billet reservoir mounts are used where applicable to provide a secure and clean installation with a low profile appearance. The B8 5100 dual steering damper system uses two gas pressurized monotube dampers mounted inline and opposing one another, allowing them to function properly in a horizontal position. This arrangement controls subtle steering inputs from both directions, helping reduce steering wheel shake while improving feedback and on center behavior. Together, the shock and steering damper systems provide application tuned damping for 2019-2026 RAM 2500 4WD trucks with 2 to 2.5 inches of lift.
