Beneath the surface, this BDS lift kit is packed with serious hardware built to handle demanding conditions. Up front, FOX 2.5 Performance Elite coilovers with remote reservoirs and dual-speed compression adjusters offer increased travel and precise damping control. The coilovers bolt directly into place, replacing the factory torsion bar system with a more efficient and tunable setup. To handle the increased suspension movement, BDS includes TIG-welded upper control arms made from 1.5-inch OD tubing, along with fully boxed and gusseted lower control arms, built from high-strength steel. Out back, the kit includes a rear lift block designed specifically for trucks with factory overload springs, maintaining load capacity while improving stance. Rounding it out are FOX 2.5 Performance Elite rear shocks tuned for a balance of comfort and off-road control, completing a system that’s as refined as it is rugged.

• Models with two-piece rear drive shafts require a carrier bearing drop kit (BDS121612)
• Requires frame bracket modification and minor welding
• Factory torsion bar system requires a special unloading tool
• GM specified tool number is CH48809
• Compatible with diesel models only, including standard and AT4 trims
• Not recommended for gas models due to excessive lift
• Available preload adjustment may not achieve correct ride height on gas models
• Minor trimming may be needed with certain wheel and tire combinations
• Trimming typically involves inner fender shrouds or bumper valance corners
• Deeper backspacing and narrower tires reduce trimming requirements
• Dually models require aftermarket 20" wheels with max 285/60/20 tires
• Factory 17", 18", and 20" wheels cannot be reused due to control arm clearance
• Coilover coil has high preload and requires a spring compressor for removal
• Failure to use a spring compressor may result in serious injury or death
• Do not increase coilover preload
• Use service kit BDS081203 for replacement ball joints
• Ball joints must be installed with the dot facing inward or outward
• Track width increases 1" per side for improved droop travel and clearance

• 285/70 on 18" x 9" with 4.5 to 5.5" backspacing*
• 35 x 12.50 on 20" x 9" with 4.5 to 5.5" backspacing**
• 295/60 on 20" x 9" with 4.5 to 5.5" backspacing*
• For wheels larger than 20", use 20" wheel specs
