With the 2 5/16 inch ball, B&W rates it for 21,000 pounds of gross trailer weight and 2,100 pounds of vertical tongue weight, and B&W rates the 2 inch ball for 10,000 pounds and 1,000 pounds. B&W tests all Tow and Stow hitches for strength and endurance to SAE J-684, the latest standard for bumper pulled hitches. The steel is high strength and American made, and the finish is two layers, an e coat followed by a black powder coat. The adjustment pins are stainless steel, and rotating the ball assembly swaps the ball size.
