There’s a lot happening inside the ATS Stage 2 68RFE, and every upgrade serves a purpose. Starting with the pump assembly, ATS re-engineers the pressure regulator circuits to improve converter charge, prevent ballooning, and eliminate common wear in high-mileage units. The billet valve body features a 1-inch thick CNC-machined channel plate that solves heat-related warping and cross-leaks, two of the biggest reliability killers in stock setups. Clutch packs have been completely redesigned for performance, with the underdrive, overdrive, 2C, and 4C packs all gaining up to 34 percent more surface area, improving torque capacity and shift consistency. The weak factory one-way sprag is replaced with a robust roller clutch that improves reliability under load, especially in high-power applications. Reinforced shafts and hubs throughout the assembly prevent the common failures that plague the 68RFE under added stress.
