Clutch packs are redesigned with increased surface areas, 21 percent more for forward, 17 percent more for overdrive, and a full 34 percent more for the 2C and 4C packs. A billet-machined channel plate replaces the flimsy stock casting in the valve body, eliminating warping and cross leaks caused by heat and pressure. ATS also replaces the factory one-way sprag with a low roller clutch that’s more durable and lubricated properly, which is a major step in long-term reliability. Hydraulic tuning has been recalibrated across the board, improving shift timing and clutch engagement to match real-time torque output. The Co-Pilot controller plays a critical role here, reading engine and boost data to apply clutch pressure exactly when needed.
