Its dual opposing configuration is designed to work as part of ICON's steering stabilizer system, providing balanced damping for demanding street and off road driving. That added control can be especially valuable on a DRW truck where larger tires, heavy loads, and changing road surfaces can make steering behavior more noticeable. ICON specifically optimizes the stabilizer length for F350 models equipped with the Wide Track front axle, giving the system the proper operating range for the intended application. Additionally, the aluminum construction and corrosion resistant steel shaft are well suited for a component that spends its life exposed beneath the truck. With rebuildable and revalveable construction, the 66515 also gives owners a serviceable steering upgrade built for long term use.

Purpose Built Damping For Wide Track Trucks

The ICON 66515 uses a nitrogen charged monotube design with an internal reservoir to deliver controlled and consistent steering damping. Inside, premium 5WT shock oil supports dependable performance across a wide range of operating temperatures, while vehicle specific valving tailors the stabilizer's response to its intended Ford application. A chrome plated 5/8 inch hardened steel shaft provides strength while resisting corrosion and surface pitting from regular exposure. ICON also uses 6061 aluminum for the rod end, top cap, and internal components, while the anodized 6063 aluminum body promotes heat dissipation and corrosion resistance. Polyurethane bushings and zinc plated sleeves provide durable mounting points, and a nitrile rubber top out bumper helps keep operation quiet. Fitment is limited to 2008-2010 and 2015-2016 Ford F350 Super Duty 4WD DRW models equipped with the Wide Track front axle, so trucks with the standard front axle are not compatible. Installation also requires ICON Dual Steering Stabilizer Kit part number 65000, and the vehicle application calls for two 66515 stabilizers to complete the dual opposing setup.
