Designed for 2003-2012 Dodge Ram 2500HD and 3500HD trucks with 2 to 3 inches of lift, these 2.5 inch piggyback reservoir shocks are tuned specifically for the application to deliver confident performance on the street and off the pavement. The piggyback reservoirs help manage heat during prolonged use, which means the shocks can maintain more consistent damping when rough terrain keeps the suspension working. When the suspension approaches full compression, ICON's internal Bump Zone increases damping force by 20 percent to help control hard impacts and reduce harsh bottom outs. That added control can make a real difference on washboard roads, uneven jobsite access, and trails where the rear suspension is constantly reacting to changing terrain. Premium aluminum construction also provides excellent corrosion resistance while keeping the shock package ready for demanding environments. Purpose Built Components Deliver Consistent Damping

Inside each ICON 217701P shock is a nitrogen charged monotube design paired with a one piece digressive piston and vehicle specific valving to create predictable suspension response throughout the shock's travel. ICON uses premium grade 5WT shock oil to maintain consistent damping across a wide temperature range, an important detail when conditions change between everyday driving and sustained off road use. The 7/8 inch diameter shock shaft is induction hardened and chrome plated, providing the strength and durable surface needed to handle repeated suspension cycling. CNC machined 6061 aircraft grade aluminum components are paired with impact extruded aluminum cylinders for corrosion resistance and a consistent finish. PTFE lined spherical bearings help provide precise mounting while application specific hardware supports proper installation on the intended truck platform. Additionally, the internal Bump Zone uses ICON's billet aluminum manifold design to generate 20 percent more damping as the shock nears full compression, giving the suspension additional control exactly when it is needed. Both shocks are completely rebuildable and revalveable, and the 2.5 Series design can also be upgraded with ICON's Compression Damping Control Valve for owners who want greater tuning capability later.
