  • The Pyrometer connection is NOT necessary for the Mini Maxx to function correctly. It is used for gauge display and for one of the de-fueling parameters. It will NOT harm your truck to run without a pyrometer probe installed. We do, of course, recommend purchasing one for the 6.7 Cummins and 6.6 LMM Duramax so you can monitor your Exhaust gas temperatures and set your de-fuel levels based on EGTs.

Powerstroke Tuning Through OBD2

    I was stuck between EFI Live or H&S, but I went with H&S for the gauges. Well worth the money! Truck runs like a champ now. Unloaded running empty I'm getting 23 mpg and loaded with 10k behind me it gets around 16 or so.

    It is unfair to only give this H&S tuner 1 Star, but since they closed it is what it is. Before they closed up and you could get updates - I will give them a solid 5x STAR, heck I even recommended it to a couple of my friends. But since you cannot get any updates anylonger, it's a stupid paper weight that just sits in your windshield reminds you that I spent nearly $2100 on my 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins for a complete H&S Mini Max, Cold Air Intake, SS exhaust, EGR delete. I also sent an email to Alligator Performance asking for their "what to do", I am still waiting for either a call or an email from them.
