Description

The 170/xxx% injector is an intermediate level performance fuel injector that is perfectly suited for a “hot street” truck that does both work & “play”. Very little compromise to your day to day driving style will be required, as these injectors are “large enough” to make competitive type power, while still retaining crisp, smoke free performance on the lower horsepower settings on your tuner.

Swamp’s Diesel builds all of our performance 6.0L fuel injectors from Ford Motorcraft injectors, which carry a 2 year, unlimited mileage warranty.

stock- recommended for heavy towing, daily driving, with no significant upgrades to engine/turbo/fuel system. Up to 525rwhp

30% – recommended for light and *heavy towing, daily driving, with moderate to significant upgrades to engine/turbo/fuel system.(*custom tuning may be necessary at high elevation). Up to 575rwhp

75% – recommended for light and *heavy towing, daily driving, with moderate to significant upgrades to engine/turbo/fuel system.(*custom tuning will be necessary). Up to 600rwhp

100% – recommended for “hot street” use, daily driving and competitive applications, with moderate to significant upgrades to engine/turbo/fuel system. (*custom tuning will be necessary for reduction of smoke in mild tunes, and to see full performance in race tunes). Up to 650rwhp

In our experience ‘bolt on’ turbochargers are not adequate to support injectors with larger than 75% nozzles. Customers’ using 100% or 150% over nozzles should consider (or have) a T4 turbo system with a turbocharger that suits your application (or rules for competitive use).

As nozzle size increases, high rpm injector flow will increase. Street/tow vehicles that will not be routinely exceeding 3500rpm may be best suited with the stock, or 30% nozzle.

Custom tuning is not required, but is recommended for nozzle size over 30%.
