While the ATS Allison LCT-1000 for stock applications has been practically bulletproofed, The *Extreme* Duty version has been created to go above and beyond. When running power adders the increased power/torque can exceed the standard Allison capabilities causing slippage during each shift. Bad for maintaining horsepower, worse for the overall life expectancy of your transmission. The Performance-built Extreme Duty version has been designed to better handle the demands of torque, power and higher PSI clutch-apply pressures. Combine this with either of the ATS "Triple-Lok" or "5-Star" torque converters and the Co-Pilot in-cab controller, you should be able to handle all the power a 6.6L Duramax can be modified to produce.
