If you have ever installed or are running an after market fuel pump, such as the Air Dog or Fass after market fuel systems. Then you may have heard about the draw straw issues. What happens with the draw straw provided with the kits is this. The straw is drilled into the body of the fuel tank. The problem with this is as the tank flexes it allows the draw straw to swing from side to side and back and forth. This is not a problem until you get down around or bellow a 1/4 of a tank of fuel. Once you are below 1/4 tank the straw will swing out of the fuel causing the pump to suck in air and kill the truck just like you are running out of fuel. Well here is the fix for that issue, this sump allows the Air Dog or Fass to be gravity fed, reducing wear on the pump and eliminating the draw straw issue all together, allowing you to use all of the fuel in your tank. It is the perfect application for a hard core drag truck or sled pulling truck. That is the last place you want to run out of fuel.
