This fully enclosed air intake system is designed to keep hot air out of the intake air stream. This intake seals tightly against cold air sources from within the engine bay, which ensures an improvement in performance and efficiency. Through real world and user testing, Bully Dog has proven that an enclosed air intake system along with a high flow cotton gauze filter will yield better air flow and colder intake temperatures than a stock system and an aftermarket open intake design. Our 6.0L RFI is 100% efficient at cruise intake temperatures match ambient air temperatures.

 

The RFI is an advanced airflow induction built to increase the engine's ability to breath. By replacing the restrictive stock induction, RFI increases horsepower, torque, fuel efficiency, and decreases exhaust gas temperatures. By removing the stock air box, replacing it with a metal heat shield, and using a conical air filter you can maximize the air filter cleaning area and allow the engine to breathe easier and produce more horsepower. All RFI inductions use a lifetime reusable 8" layer cotton gauze filter. This design, combined with deep pleats, make these filters ideal for high performance use. Intake systems are designed to seal tightly against cold air sources from within the engine bay, keeping hot air out of the system which ensures an improvement in performance and efficiency. These intakes also works very well in conjunction with performance computer modules. The modules will increase the amount of fuel going into the motor and will therefore increase the need for more air. The installation of this system is very easy and requires only very basic hand tools. Installation can generally be done in 20 minutes or less.
